I was going to send this to you!! and tell you that I read about it on a news blog that showcases 'unbelievable', 'shocking' type stories-- and that the glow in the dark animal story was featured with a news flash about the fact that you can buy a nice suburban house on a cul de sac in Lancaster, SC for a mere 150,000.
Tomorrow I finally get to sit on my ass again and finish the novella I have been writing you and, fuck, send the rest of SMiLE. Katya I need you up here to geek out with me! Nobody who works in galleries knows what relational aesthetics is, but today at work when nobody was looking I touched a drawing that David Byrne made WITH HIS OWN HANDS
A nice suburban house in Lancaster SC constitutes a "shocking type story"? ... I guess it would... heh heh heh
Can't believe gallery people don't know about relational aesthetics- goddamned crap is featured in Art Forum this month "one more again" (as Zappa would say).
YOU make me SMilLE! And yeah, one day we shall geek out in NY togehter- it's a promise. And more power to hands that touch art made by other hands!
"Raving Artist" might be a misleading title. Yes I usually rave, and yes, I am more of an artist than not, depending on the definition of the word. But most of the stuff I write here is not about art. In the end, this is just one more blog about nothing in particular by nobody in particular. I write because I like to do it; or more specifically, because "vira e mexe" ("every now and then", but more like "every now") something tweaks me and compels me to do it. I find that this is as good a place as any in which to dump my thoughts; and moreover, I am always pleasantly surprised when someone actually reads it. ...That being said, I do feel guilty about the ridiculously enormous amounts of energy it takes to run the servers that power our contemporary living.... oh well, outasite outamind...
Uhh hate to tell you, that's badass.
ReplyDeleteIt will probably cure diseases too.
yeah, no doubt, cure a bunch of diseases so we can have more humans trying to figure out how to change more DNA... eeessh
