I finished painting Suzy's dog

My friend Suzy, long ago, commissioned me to paint a picture of Ziggy.  I finally had time to get to it last month and finished putting the last touches on it early this week.  On Thursday I was overwhelmed by a complete sense of meaninglessness.  The two events were unrelated.

    Really great painting - I love the fur, and the flowers have such a great strange floating magic - very cool against the stark background.

    The flowers I got from Botticelli's "Primavera" and the stark background I decided on by thinking of Warhol's Gold Marylin and (like he most certainly did) of old church icons...
